【摘要】:Gasketcompressionsproducedbyboltloadsinaflangedjointareimportantintheapplicationengineeringofajointassembly.Theyarerelatedtotheabilityofagaskettoseal,tomaintaintightnessonassemblybolts,andtoavarietyofothergasketpropertiesthatdeterminetheservicebehaviorofajointassembly.Thus,beingabletodeterminethedegreeofcompressioninagasketundertheboltloadingwillpermitonetomakequalitativepredictionsofthebehaviorofajointassemblywhenitcomesincontactwiththeapplicationorserviceenvironment.Withtheplugtest,bendingofaflangefacingbetweenboltcenterscanbemeasured;however,inafewhighlydistortableflangesthemaximumbendingbetweenboltcentersmaynotbedetected.Thevariationingasketcompressionsatselectedpointsinaflat-facejointassemblyrevealsthedegreeofflangedistortionortheabilityoftheflangetodistributesatisfactorilythecompressiveforcesfromboltloadsthroughoutthegasket.1.1Thispracticepermitsmeasurementofgasketcompressionresultingfromboltloadingonaflat-facejointassemblyatambientconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Gasketcompressionsproducedbyboltloadsinaflangedjointareimportantintheapplicationengineeringofajointassembly.Theyarerelatedtotheabilityofagaskettoseal,tomaintaintightnessonassemblybolts,andtoavarietyofothergasketpropertiesthatdeterminetheservicebehaviorofajointassembly.Thus,beingabletodeterminethedegreeofcompressioninagasketundertheboltloadingwillpermitonetomakequalitativepredictionsofthebehaviorofajointassemblywhenitcomesincontactwiththeapplicationorserviceenvironment.Withtheplugtest,bendingofaflangefacingbetweenboltcenterscanbemeasured;however,inafewhighlydistortableflangesthemaximumbendingbetweenboltcentersmaynotbedetected.Thevariationingasketcompressionsatselectedpointsinaflat-facejointassemblyrevealsthedegreeofflangedistortionortheabilityoftheflangetodistributesatisfactorilythecompressiveforcesfromboltloadsthroughoutthegasket.1.1Thispracticepermitsmeasurementofgasketcompressionresultingfromboltloadingonaflat-facejointassemblyatambientconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
