【摘要】:Thisguidesetsforthminimumstandardrequirementsforuseinlocalcodesandordinancesrelatingtonon-residentialoutdoorswimmingpools,hottubs,spas,andwaters.Thisguidedoesnothavetheeffectoflaw,norisitintendedtosupersedelocalcodesandordinancesofamorerestrictivenature.1.1Thisguideprovidesrecommendedminimumrequirementsforvarioustypesoffencesfornon-residentialoutdoorswimmingpools,hottubsandspas.1.2Thevarioustypesoffencesmaybechainlink,wood,vinyl,ornamentalsteeloraluminum,weldedwire,expandedmetal,compositeorothersthatwouldbeincorporatedintoadesignnecessarytosupportthestructureconsideringitsheight,application,location,andclimaticcondition.AlltypesoffencesshallbeinaccordancewithASTMstandards.1.3Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.TheSIvaluesstatedinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.
