【摘要】:Thisspecificationprescribestherequirementsforclassificationofsolidlow-alloysteelelectrodesandrods,compositestrandedlow-alloysteelelectrodes,andcompositemetalcoredlow-alloysteelelectrodesforgasshieldedarcwelding.Classificationisbasedonchemicalcompositionoftheelectrodeforsolidelectrodesandrods,chemicalcompositionofweldmetalforcompositestrandedandcompositemetalcoredelectrodesandtheas-weldedorpostweldheattreatedmechanicalpropertiesoftheweldmetalforeach.Additionalrequirementsareincludedformanufacture,sizes,lengthsandpackaging.Aguideisappendedtothespecificationasasourceofinformationconcerningtheclassificationsystememployedandtheintendeduseoftheelectrodesandrods.ThisspecificationmakesuseofbothU.S.CustomaryUnitsandtheInternationalSystemofUnits(SI).Sincethesearenotequivalent,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.
