【摘要】:Vaporpressureisaveryimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquidsforshippingandstorage.Thevaporpressureofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblendsisregulatedbyvariousgovernmentagencies.Specificationsforvolatilepetroleumproductsgenerallyincludevaporpressurelimitstoensureproductsofsuitablevolatilityperformance.Inthistestmethod,anairsaturationprocedurepriortothemeasurementisnotrequired,thuseliminatinglossesofhighvolatilecompoundsduringthisstep.Thistestmethodisfasterandminimizespotentialerrorsfromimproperairsaturation.ThistestmethodpermitsVPXdeterminationsinthefield.Thistestmethodcanbeappliedinonlineapplicationsinwhichanairsaturationprocedurepriortothemeasurementcannotbeperformed.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofautomatedvaporpressureinstrumentstodeterminethevaporpressureexertedinvacuumbyvolatile,liquidpetroleumproducts,hydrocarbons,andhydrocarbon-oxygenatemixtures.Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingsampleswithboilingpointsabove0176;C(32176;F)thatexertavaporpressurebetween7and150kPa(1.0and21psi)at37.8176;C(100176;F)atavapor-to-liquidratioof4:1.Theliquidsamplevolumesizerequiredforanalysisisdependentuponthevapor-to-liquidratiochosen(seeNote1)andthemeasuringchambervolumecapacityoftheinstrument(see6.1.1andNote3).Note1Thetestmethodissuitableforthedeterminationofthevaporpressureofvolatile,liquidpetroleumproductsattemperaturesfrom0to100176;Catvaportoliquidratiosof4:1to1:1(X=4to1)andpressuresupto500kPa(70psi),buttheprecisionstatement(seeSection16)maynotbeapplicable.1.2Thevaporpressure(VPX)determinedbythistestmethodatavapor-liquidratioof4:1(X=4)ofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblendsat37.8176;Ccanbecorrelatedtothedryvaporpressureequivalent(DVPE)valuedeterminedbyTestMethodD5191(see16.2).1.3&si-value;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see7.2-7.8.

Two variations of diagrams are used: Transmission in neutral and in gear. For illustrative purposes, some typical transmissions are shown.
